Aeroscan – Lung Cancer Detection Device

This point-of-care device offers a rapid, convenient and accurate method for diagnosing lung cancer in its early stages. The design uses a fluorescent sensor array to measure for volatile organic compounds in a patient’s breaths. As the Aeroscan is noninvasive and does not expose patients to potentially dangerous radiation, the device is a safe and accessible alternative to existing lung cancer screening methods such as CT scans, biopsy and sputum cytology.
